| Dr. Dunn graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas In 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She attended Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1991, she completed a one year General Practice Residency Program at the V.A. Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Dunn practiced in association with a Family Dental also worked in a dental clinic in Arkansas where she obtained valuable knowledge and experience in children’s dentistry. Dr. Dunn places great emphasis on continuing education for herself and her entire team at Smiles by Design. She is passionate about staying current with the latest in technological advancement while also maintaining her gentleness in meeting the needs of her patients. She attends 50+ hours of continuing education each year. She is a member of the American Dental Association and it’s Syracuse society as well. She was also an active member of the Salt City Study Club, a professional league of dentists from a variety of fields, who were interested in expanding their skills and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Although she is a “Family” practice dentist, Dr. Dunn's enthusiasm for creative and fashionable cosmetic dentistry and implant restoration is her 'passion'. Her gentle qualities is her 'strength'. |
| Dr. Armstrong attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas with a degree in dental hygiene. While working as a dental hygienist, she attended classes to obtain her dental degree. She graduated from UCLA Dental School in 1983. Until relocating to Syracuse with her husband, Dr. Syracuse, she opened a dental practice in her home, where she practiced until joining Smiles by Design with Dr. Dunn. Dr. Armstrong's willingness to be challenged by change has allowed her to expand her services to meet the needs of the contemporary family with new technology that embraces both her gentle touch with new advancements in dentistry. She is active in attending continuing education to stay current and updated on procedures and techniques. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Syracuse society as well. As a member of Smiles by Design, Dr. Armstrong also believes that it is the quality of the dentistry combined with the training and dedication to excellence of the staff that our patients welcome. |

The office administrative staff at Smiles by Design add to the efficiency of our practice. They are here to help with any questions you may have regarding your treatment plans, payment and insurance information, and appointment scheduling. They form the foundation of our practice, allowing the dentists, their clinical treatment assistants and the dental hygienists to spend more time with patients, who are the total focus of our office. |

| Our highly qualified dental hygienists at Smiles by Design are trained, licensed professionals who assist patients with preventative dentistry and dental care & overall health education. While dental hygienists are considered typically the "teeth cleaning" specialists, they are so much more! They are experts on gum disease and provide periodontal therapy. They are trained to help you to create a healthy mouth and focused on your overall health to keep you at your best. They advise you and the doctor of any changes observed in your dental well being, so that the necessary treatment can be prompt and kept at a minimum. They will show you how easy and important it is to protect your teeth and they will see to it that your smile is kept at its happiest for years to come. |
